Our History

Krescent City Kids formed its LLC on Feb, 5th 2009 and shortly after that went on to renovate, open, and successfully operate (2) locations in Central City between 2010 and 2012. Between 2011 and 2014 we renovated the first floor of the 329 South Dorgenois and began serving kids.
We have built a spacious modern commercial learning academy that can accommodate 156 kids in the underserved area of Mid-City in New Orleans. Since opening the 329 South Dorgenios Location in 2012, we have provided high quality and affordable early childhood education to kids from all economic backgrounds and ethnicities
In June 2012, Krescent City Kids Learning Academy in Central City, New Orleans opened up the doors of its newest facility. Volunteers and staff from the United Saints Recovery Project painted murals and art work both inside and outside the facility. This project was led by long-term volunteers Phoebe Hunt and Danielle Arroyo, as part of the United Saints' Community Art Program. KCK is forever grateful to all the volunteers that made this vision come true.
We anticipate demand to continue to grow within the next two/three years as the New VA Hospital and Medical Center Corridor opens in late 2016. Working professionals will be looking for quality childcare that is close proximity to their jobs. We are excited to begin upstairs classroom renovation in 2016 to accommodate the enrollment demand and add a state of the art Kids Theater
